yesterday the whole GEMA UNITEN crew (which consist of tarian,gamelan and choir) went down to Floria Putrajaya 2010 to perform in what i call a mini concert.to be frank,i didn't enjoy it very much.been busy the whole day yesterday.in the morning,went down to USK to pack costumes for the dance team.there were too many things to find and sort out.costumes for seven girls and eight guys,what do u expect ? dengan keadaan bilik kostum USK yang macam tongkang pecah kena bom pat juta kali,it certainly didn't help things.kind of like finding a needle in a haystack.dashed to mines at around noon to grab some stuff for the girls in the dance team and buy lunch with my two housemates.went home afterwards but didn't get to do much except bathe.then dashed back to USK again for another performance run through.after much hustle bustle of loading stuff into the university truck and at approximately 5.20pm,we rode the bus to the performance site which was at Precint 2 Putrajaya.it was only about 15minutes from college,but i slept the whole way anyway.i was tired by this time.
when we got there,we realized that we somehow forgot to bring along the makeup kit.makeup is CRUCIAL for a dancer.no makeup,no show.after like 15 phone calls to 5 different people,we finally managed to get our hands on the makeup kit somehow.problem averted.we proceeded with getting ready for the show which was scheduled to start at 9pm.the dressing room that the organizer gave us was TINY.magine cramming lots of people in it.it had only two tiny light bulbs to light the room and had no mirror (how were we supposed to put on makeup without any mirror ? what if we end up looking like a momok ?).it was so friggin hot in there.pening kepala aku duduk dalam tu.not to mention i was already having a severe headache from not wearing glasses.the condition there was just so uncomfortable. =.="
so came 9pm.we were on stage all set to dance.we started the routine along with the music.we danced for like 10seconds..aaaaaaaand the cd skipped.so we stopped in the middle of our routine.i was like..oh man this is bad.we continued when the music continued.aaaaaaaaaand the cd skipped again.we continued.aaaaaaaaaaaaaand the cd skipped again.continue.skip.continue.skip.this thing repeated till halfway through our routine.dammit la.malu okay ? we were ushered off stage and had to start all over again.technical difficulties SUCK BIG TIME ! however, our second attempt to perform went smoothly.that was after they changed the CD player to a laptop.the rest of the night were filled with performances by the gamelan and choir group.these guys did well.
i arrived home at 12am.by this time,i was SUPER exhausted and ready to die.my body ached so bad i felt like buying a cane to support my backbone.i had cuts on my hand that came from God knows where.my face was itching like crazy.i smelled like a million goats put together. T.T i fell asleep as soon as my head touched the pillow.another show like this and i might opt to resign from dancing.diva much nini ? =P
roger and out.house chores.its the weekends for heaven's sake.might be going shopping tomorrow.
